Terrie Cooper - The Mother

This is Terrie's first production with the Wondrous Strange Players.  She has previously been seen in The Bastrop Opera House's World Premiere Production of Echoes of Ireland. She is a singer with the Irish band "O'Malarkey," which is based in Austin/San Marcos.

Steven Brandt - The Groom

Steven is a Wondrous Strange Company Member.  He was most recently seen in Oscar Wilde's Salome. He is also a playwright, having scripted the WSP's last production The Wolf and The Witch.

Christl H. Climans - The Wife

Christl is a graduate of Concordia University Chicago, having earned a BA in Theatre.  She has performed in many productions including Pippin, The Mystery of Edwin Drood, Planet of the Mermaids and Richard III. She also recently played the title role in WSP's production of Salome.

Anne Gomez-Guzman - The Mother-In-Law

Anne is a screen actress making the transition to stage. We are glad to have her in our production.  She has been seen on television commercials and in the independent film Damn Mail. 

Austen Simien - Leonardo

This is Austen's third show on the Austin stage since moving from Arlington in October. He was previously seen in "The Death of Hip Hop" as the Slave who was Raped, and "A Raisin in the Sun" as George Murchinson. He has also been seen as Torvald in "A Doll's House", Lenny Ganz in "Rumors", and Polynieces in "The Gospel of Colonus". He would like to thank his family and friends for supporting his craft and the cast and crew for helping bring such a poetic show to life.

Kathleen Eason - The Bridesmaid

Kathleen is a veteran actress and accomplished singer/songwriter. She was also a guest performer (Soprano Soloist) for the 2005-2007 American Symphony Orchestra.  She has been seen in many roles including the title role in Salome and Ophelia in Hamlet.  She has also been seen in productions of Oedipus and Tartuffe. 

Cameron Holmes - The Bride

Cameron is an Austin transplant by way of Chicago.  She has been seen in numerous productions including Civil War Blues, A Journey Through Winterland and Two Torn Apart.   She is also a film actress and model, having been seen in campaigns for The Salvation Army and Office Max.  She can also be seen in the independent film Fancy Pants.

Mike Dellens - The Father

Mike is making his Wondrous Strange Player's debut after performing in commericals, film and theatre around the area.  He was trained at the Austin State Theatre School of Acting.  He has been seen in City Theatre's production of Buried Child and ACC's production of In2 The West.  Film experience includes roles in Damn Mail, Austin High, Let Hope Rise and Falconer.

Dustin Beyer - The Neighbor

This is Dustin's first show with the Wondrous Strange Players.  He is returning to the stage after a brief hiatus from theatre, during which time he studied the Culinary Arts.  He now works in the resturant industry.  We are excited to welcome him into the Wondrous Strange family.

Thomas Epling - The Outcast(s)

Blood Wedding marks Thomas' stage debut.  He hails from Houston, TX.  He is currently a Psychology student at ACC.  In his spare time he enjoys video games, film, cooking and biking around town.

Sabrina Sunshine Tarbutton - The Moon

Sabrina is an experienced actress and is the acting Company Manger of the Wondrous Strange Players. She was most recently seen as Queen Herodias in Salome and Red Riding Hood in The Wolf and the Witch, which she also directed. 

Casey Allen - The Beggar

Casey is a talented actor, director and poet.  He has been seen in many productions including Salome, After The Fall, Tartuffe, Richard III and Henry V.  He most recently directed the WSP's production of Oscar Wilde's Salome.

Michael Floyd - Director

Michael has been involved in theatre for over 16 years.  He has worked as an actor, director and writer for numerous companies in Texas including Wondrous Strange Players, Chaotic Theatre Company,  and The Globe Theatre of the Great Southwest among others.  He has performed in numerous productions including The Crucible, Harvey, The Laramie Project, Oedipus Rex and more recently, Salome and the world premiere production of Elliot Conrad's My Theophilus.  His directing credits include Lysistrata and A Midsummer Nights Dream (for Chaotic Theatre Co.), After the Fall (for Austin Drama Club) and Blithe Spirit and Prometheus Bound (for Hardin-Simmons University).  He has written multiple plays including Poetz Corner and The City. Jessie Robles - Stage Manager

Blood Wedding marks Jessie's first turn as stage manager. He came to Austin by way of San Angelo and Odessa, Texas.  He is currently an art student at The University of Texas.  He has previously been seen onstage in Little Shop of Horrors. He is also a comic book author and artist.  In his spare time he enjoys film, music, art and video games. 

Taylor Kirk - Sound Design and Composer

Originally from Fort Worth, Tx, Taylor Kirk is now an Austin based Visual and Aural Designer who recently finished his final year at The University of Texas at Austin with a B.A. in Theatre and Dance. His latest works include the musical composition and performance of The Nomadic Dream Project at the 2011 Prague Quadrennial, and the composition and projection design for Once Upon a Time… for Ears Eyes and Feet in Austin. He is also the co-creator and co-artistic director of Ransack Repertory, an Austin based Theatre Company dedicated to cultivating performance work with communal resources in a collaborative artistic environment. While sonic art is his main artistic focus, he creates visual artwork as well. He has had several shows in both the Austin, Tx and Dallas, Tx areas. His work is very organic, dealing with the action of creation and how that translates into a finalized piece. He VJs around town at concerts and recently had a video based installation piece called Dimentia in The 2011 Cohen New Works Festival.
